Explore ToursEXCELLENT Based on 341 reviews Posted on J and CVerified So you want to do a tiger safari? Go Nature Safari! From the very first email inquiry we were impressed with Nature Safari. Sharad Vats, the founder, responded to every query and concern and helped us to come up with an itinerary spanning city visits as well as safaris in national parks. Whenever he was unavailable, other staff assisted so we never felt on our own while, from New Zealand, we worked out all the details. Before we arrived in Delhi we were impressed to receive contact details plus a photo from Pratim who had been appointed to greet us. For two older women travelling on their own it was reassuring to receive this information rather than fly in and start searching for some unknown person carrying a piece of paper with our names on it. Every step of our journey reflected this level of care and detail, making our experience less stressful than expected. The accommodations booked on our behalf were very comfortable and the drivers and guides provided excellent service overall. Never did we feel concerned for our safety despite the traffic chaos often surrounding us! Our days spent exploring Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Varanasi felt too busy at times, a result of our being overly ambitious given our age and ailments, but we were always able to work with the company to limit our schedule when necessary. And, when I specifically wanted to add in a visit to Sheroes, the world’s first café operated by women victimised by acid attacks, this request was willingly facilitated by both the driver and guide. Our visits to Pench Tiger Reserve and Kanha National Park were amazing. The forest landscapes in each were stunning and the wildlife diverse and varied. We saw tigers in both venues, sleeping, swimming and stalking through the beautiful forests. One large male tiger looked weird with a striped front and grey/black rear. He looked like a composite from a children’s book where different halves of different animals can be joined to make fantastical creatures. Then I realised this was no strange beast – just a tiger with a rear covered in mud from the river! We unreservedly recommend Nature Safari and would be keen to find a way to enlist their services again for more great tiger safaris.Posted on RichardDVerified Indian tiger safari excellence In March 2025, my wife and I enjoyed a fantastic private trip to India arranged by Ishana Vats of Nature Safari India. I highly recommend NSI and Ishana. I have an interest in photographing wildlife in its natural environment - and Ishana tailored our trip around this. We spent 6 days in both Kanha and Banghavgarh reserves - I recommend spending longer in fewer reserves than 2 night stands as it reduces the travelling time, and we got to know the staff and reserves much better. We also did the tourist stops of Agra (spend a little extra and stay at the Oberoi), Varanasi and Jaipur and a half day tour of Delhi. I recommend Nature Safari India as being a safe and knowledgeable tour operator.Posted on Passport21141690327Verified They Made Everything Easy! The best company I've dealt with when organising a tour. Ishana was patient and understanding as we worked through our holiday itinerary. I was taking my 84 year old father to see the beautiful Bengal tigers, but I also wanted to fit it some landmarks like the Taj Mahal. Throughout the whole experience Ishana ensured everything was flawless. Even our internal flights had us dropped right at the exact entrance. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we dealt with. It was wonderful.Posted on Lynn KVerified Can't praise this company enough! From our very first enquiry Ishana was responsive, informative and helpful. She patiently worked with us to tweak one of their itineraries to create the trip of our dreams. Her attention to detail and concern to understand our desires could not be faulted. And it was affordable! Costing no more than an off the peg itinerary with a European company where we'd have been in a group. The trip itself lived up to all our hopes and we had the most amazing week seeing tigers, leopards and birds in abundance and a week visiting the cultural hot spots of India. All our guides we're experts in their area and our drivers were professional. If you are reading this to check the company is as good as it sounds then I can assure you it is! Book your trip with them, you will not regret it.Posted on Dawn NVerified Wonderful Nature Safari Nature safari is by far the best travel/tour company I have ever dealt with. The booking and communication before the trip was excellent. All my questions & queries were answers within a day and in so much detail. Ishana was very friendly and helpful - it felt like I was meeting an old friend when we met by chance in the jungle! The whole trip from the moment we stepped foot in India was so wonderful. Everyone we met was so helpful, friendly, informative and could not do enough for us. All guides, drivers and naturalists who worked for or with Nature Safari were amazing. I have to give a particular mention about Kanha and our naturalist Kopal - words cannot express how wonderful and special the time we spent there was. It is something that my friends and I will remember forever.Posted on Joan DVerified Something very different for me! I would highly suggest using this company, which went out of their way to ensure that a good time was had by all in our group of 14. All details were anticipated, and anything that was a bit of a burb in the road was attended to consciously. I did not think I would like the safari part of our extended trip to Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, and more because I was nervous about becoming lunch for a tiger! Our Nature guides were knowledgeable and friendly, filling in details about the animals and the ecosystem during our stay on the reserve. The hotel was gorgeous and was a lovely mental rest from the pace of the cities where we had been. The bulk of our 2.5 week trip was a cultural/textile outing. All the tiresome logistics were handled with great care. I've been on many tours, and I'd rank this one as among the very best.Posted on jackVerified An Unforgettable Experience, the best trip we’ve ever had! An unforgettable Experience! Our Guide Ajeet not only went over & above to ensure we had the best Tiger sightings but his wealth of Knowledge on all of the Wildlife was incredible, as well as his friendly demeanour. Our Tour of Agra was also amazing thanks to our tour guide Khaizer that took us around the best views of the Taj Mahal and took some incredible photos for us. A massive thank you to both of our drivers, Gulab for getting us to & from the airport safely. Pratim & Neeraja for all their help throughout the travel experience, who couldn’t have been friendlier & did everything they could to ensure we had a great trip. Would most definitely recommend, the best trip we’ve ever had!Posted on Lann BVerified Perfection! Nature Safari India deserves high praise for a fantastic adventure to India for me and my husband. I added this review to another trip advisor site, not realizing this is their tripadvisor location. First, we chose India because I wanted to see tigers and I’m always looking for a small boat trip. The original plan was to do a tiger safari and a small boat cruise on the River Ganga. After finding Nature Safari India, the trip morphed into a 3 week cultural, historic and safari adventure. I cannot give enough good praise to Nature Safari India for all the work they did to make this trip special and how incredibly smooth everything went. Absolutely amazed and impressed. We didn’t know what questions to ask before arranging the trip, there were many discussions back and forth to help us with our style of travel. My husband and I have travelled a lot, 35 countries and counting. We are seasoned travelers and yet India took us by surprise. The intensity of the Hindu religion, the effects of so many people on the infrastructure of even small communities, and the influence of the Moghuls over many centuries, we went into this trip highly uneducated. Here’s some of our trip and how Nature Safari India made it special without us realizing how much effort this took until we got there. Our trip went like this: chaos, calm, chaos, calm, chaos. That turns out to be a perfect recipe. We started and ended our trip by staying at a renovated mansion (Haveli Dharampura) in the heart of Old Delhi. Starting and ending our trip in a magical haveli in the middle of chaos! This is India! I understand why they recommend Roseate hotel when we had a late or early flight as the Haveli Dharampura is 1 to 1.5 hours drive from the airport. Roseate is just a typical multistory airport hotel, good for those quick turnarounds. We had one driver for the first 6 days which included some long drives of 4-5 hours to get to Agra and Jaipur. This was nice as we got to know him and we were glad to see the small communities along the way. We liked all of our guides. Some young, some older, all with a genuine interest in teaching and sharing. I wasn’t sure about the Oberoi hotels as we like small boutique places, but the stay at Taj Mahal should be at Oberoi. You could not compete with the direct view of Taj Mahal. And our stay at Oberoi in Jaipur was very special. We participated in a blessing ceremony in a 300 year old temple in the middle of the property. It was very emotional even though I have no idea what they were chanting. Next was calm in Kanha National Park. In 5 days (10 safaris) we had 12 sightings of 6 tigers, 2 sloth bears, one jungle cat, 2 monkey species and so many birds, guar, deer, snakes and other animals. Back to chaos, we head to Varanasi where Nature Safari has recommended Brijrama Palace. Wow. Right on the River Ganga and steps from one of the Aarti. Brijrama recommended we attend Aarti with a young priest. He was so funny and interesting, he could have been a guide if he hadn’t chosen to be a priest. Varanasi is a unique place with a deeply spiritual vibe. I cannot describe it. Nature Safari had another city recommendation as I think Varanasi may be too intense for a lot of people, but we are glad we didn’t miss it. My husband and I both felt the aura and we are not religious people. Our guide for much of Varanasi was an older man named Dharmendra Tiwari, very religious and the perfect person to guide us through our stay in India’s holiest city. I mention him because we talked about his life as a guide. He said that he started his own guide business and was doing well until covid hit and, of course, everything fell apart. He said Nature Safari India continued to help and support him, which made us that much happier that we chose a company that helps their people when they need it. From Varanasi we went on a 3 day cruise on a 40 passenger boat. For some reason, there were only 2 of us as passengers with about 30 crew. The water level is too low in April to actually go anywhere except for a short trip up or down river but staying on the same dock every night. The crew of MV Bengal Ganga were so much fun. They did a Bollywood performance for us and got us to dance with them. We also saw the river porpoise when we went upstream. The rooms are amazing, the boat was great, but the crew is what made that bit of our calm worth it. The only animal products allowed to be eaten on the river are from milk, the vegetarian menu was great, even for hearty meat eaters like us. Finally, we headed back to Delhi for our last two nights at Haveli Dharampura. We had a food tour with a young guy named Juuwal. We had so much fun with him as well as great conversations about life, history, the past and the future. He’s no different than any other 25 year old in the world as he is concerned about his future. Very different discussions than those had with Dharmendra. Don’t miss a food tour in the chaos of Old Delhi. We are seasoned travelers and do not need extra assistance getting in and out of airports, but for those who have not travelled a lot, know that Nature Safari India will be there to help you in and out of the airport, they were spot on with drivers, the when, and the where. Everyone was on time with good communication. We did not have any glitches. My husband I have tried to come up with cons to using this company and there are none. They’ll try to lead you in the right direction for your style of travel and appear to have contacts throughout India. I wish we’d gone into the trip more educated about Hinduism, would like to have had a better understanding of tipping as we didn’t know if the recommendations were per person or for us as a couple and what to tip at hotels, you will go to a place every day where they will show you how they make something (carpets, weavings, marble, brass, jewelry) and you’ll get a sales pitch. This didn’t bother us as we liked buying some quality items direct from the source, but I can see that some people would be overwhelmed by the daily “shopping”, also we should have been aware that we should carry some small bills for use of public restrooms (note: every public restroom we went into had at least one western toilet. Bring your own toilet paper!), and you need a whatsapp account for communication. Nature Safari India did a great job with our trip. I appreciate how much work this must have taken to make it run smoothly.Posted on SueJ211Verified Great company to work with Thank you for crafting an amazing trip to India to view the Tigers. Tour guides were amazing on all of our safaris and truly enhanced our animal viewings. Accommodations were very good. Appreciated arranging our trip add ons pre safari and all transportation arrangements.Posted on Kyle MVerified What an incredible experience 😍😍😍 Where do I start, we were recommended this company from a couple we met whilst travelling in Uganda and I completely understand why they spoke so highly of them. Ishana was great and advised us where to visit for the best tiger and leopard sightings for a shorter trip. This company advise at least 6 safaris, because you have more chance of seeing everything you want. We were so lucky and saw tigers or leopards... or both on every single safari 😍.The price was very, very reasonable for what was included as well. The transfer was on time, had great air con(which is needed in April 🤣) and snacks and drinks were also provided. Our accommodation at Pench Jungle Camp was lovely, the room was huge, it had everything you needed and the staff were amazing. The food was also plentiful and very tasty.Do not hesitate to contact this company, and don't panic if communication is sometimes slightly delayed, there is a reason and that's because they're so busy creating the perfect trip for all of their customers.
LET’S PLAN YOUR TIGER SAFARI TOUR
Popular Tiger Safari Tours in India
The tiger stands as the apex terrestrial predator – an expert strategist that must meticulously calculate every move for survival. Unlike prey animals that forage through instinct, the tiger observes, waits, and strikes with surgical precision. Navigating time, terrain, space, and prey behaviour is critical; a single miscalculation could result in starvation. Unlike lions, hyenas, or wolves that hunt in groups, the tiger relies solely on its own prowess, making every hunt a solitary and formidable feat.
What compounds this difficulty is the prey’s heightened vigilance. Moving in cohesive herds with dozens of eyes, ears, and noses, they are highly attuned to detecting danger. To succeed, the tiger must become virtually invisible, slipping past these natural defenses unnoticed. Its survival depends on an exceptional ability to blend into its surroundings and move in utter silence.
This very elusiveness makes tiger tracking a nuanced discipline during a tiger safari India. Unlike the open landscapes of the African savannah, India’s thickly wooded forests call for the expertise of seasoned trackers and naturalists who decode the intricacies of landscape, climate, and wildlife behaviour with exceptional insight.
Patience, focus, and interpretation are paramount. Our expert trackers do more than simply observe—they interpret the forest. Every sound, track, and subtle disturbance is a vital clue, turning each outing into a multi-layered exploration of the wild, not just a pursuit of tigers.
Below, you’ll find some of our popular tiger safari India tours. For those looking to combine wildlife exploration with cultural immersion, we offer tailored enhancements such as tranquil dawn boat rides on the Ganges, rickshaw tours through lively bazaars, or curated street food trails – all designed to align with your personal interests.

Corbett National Park
Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, Corbett National Park is a verdant jewel of northern India. Known as the “Land of Roar, Trumpet and Song”, it boasts the highest density of tigers per square kilometre, a thriving population of Asian elephants, and over 500 bird species. It offers a unique blend of mountainous terrain and rich biodiversity, making it a standout destination on any tiger safari India itinerary.
Kanha National Park
Located in Central India, Kanha National Park inspired Rudyard Kipling’s timeless Jungle Book. Beyond its literary fame, Kanha is home to some of India’s largest male tigers and a thriving ecosystem. The park has played a pivotal role in wildlife conservation, most notably through the successful reintroduction of the Hard Ground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), and supporting neighbouring parks by relocating healthy tiger and bison populations.
Kaziranga National Park
In the lush landscapes of Assam, Kaziranga stands as a proud symbol of India’s conservation efforts. Home to the largest population of the Indian One-Horned Rhino, the park also shelters a rich variety of Himalayan bird species. Their melodic calls add a serene soundtrack to the wilderness, making Kaziranga a must-visit among the best national parks in India.
Ranthambore National Park
Set in the heart of Rajasthan, Ranthambore combines natural beauty with historical grandeur. Ancient ruins and temples are scattered across its forested hills, where Bengal tigers roam freely. Renowned for its accessible sightings, Ranthambore remains a highlight of tiger safari India, offering both a thrilling wildlife experience and a glimpse into India’s royal past.
Pench National Park
Straddling the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, Pench’s teak forests, open meadows, and winding rivers offer a captivating safari setting. Said to have inspired Kipling’s The Jungle Book, the park is rich in biodiversity, hosting Bengal tigers, deer, and a variety of birds. Pench is a shining example of successful conservation, making it a top choice for wildlife enthusiasts.
Panna National Park
Tucked away in Madhya Pradesh, Panna is a story of revival and resilience. Once nearly devoid of tigers, the park has seen a remarkable recovery and now thrives with a healthy tiger population. Home to leopards, sloth bears, and the scenic Ken River, Panna is a vital stop on a tiger safari in India, reflecting the nation’s ongoing commitment to preserving its natural heritage.

Excellent Experience with Nature Safari India
Nature Safari India organized our private 2 Weeks Safari in Central India plus a couple of Sightseeing and we are very happy to having choose this agency. I found them on the responsible tiger tourism association (TOFTigers) and I liked them from the very first contact. From the first email more than two years ago to the end of our trip in April 2022, the service was great, the selection of the itinerary, Parks, lodges and guides was perfect. And this although the very difficult travel situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Our trip had to be postponed and rescheduled twice (we were supposed to travel at the end of March 2020), Mr. Deepkul was always very professional, competent, responsive, and helpful with all my requests and he went the extra mile. We had a wonderful time in India, we saw a lot of tigers and wildlife, and we hope to come back soon. We warmly recommend Nature Safari India to everyone and in the future, we’ll surely book another tour with them.
Deepkul and the Tiger Safari India team put together an incredible experience for us in Kanha and Bandhavgarh. All the details were taken care of as per our preferences and budget including transportation, food, lodging, and our amazing safari guides. Deepkul was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond to any questions before and during our trip. Highly recommend!
We did 5 days of safaris with Sharad Vats’s team, in Kanga and Pench, in April 2022. Right from the planning to the actual execution, Sharad was accessible, knowledgeable and helpful, to ensure we got a good experience. Not only was the itinerary planned and tweaked multiple times to suit us, but our accommodation and food needs were also taken care of well. We enjoyed the trip immensely…
Amazing tiger safari India experience working with Ishana and all the guides. We saw a ton of tigers in close range. The food and lodging was amazing. Perfect trip and first time in India.
We had an amazing and totally unforgettable trip to India organised by Tiger Safari India, in particular Deepkul (and previously Manjeet). I organised the trip 2 years ago just as the pandemic hit, I had been communicating with Nature Safari India constantly for quite a few months until we finalised on an itinerary, nothing was too much trouble and replies to queries were almost instant.
