Our Founder

Sharad Kumar Vats

Sharad was born and reared in New Delhi, and from a young age, he had the ambition to represent India in international cricket competition. He competed in a variety of outdoor activities and excelled in each one that he tried his hand at. However, due to a number of personal considerations, he was forced to give up sports and instead decided to pursue a career in hotel management during a time when the majority of his peers were preparing for admission exams in the fields of engineering and medicine. He was given the chance to work for the Taj Group of Hotels, which is recognised as Asia’s preeminent hotel company (a TATA Group Enterprise). He had just been working for the Taj Group for a single year when he was already recognised as Employee of the Year and received numerous accolades.

His “Super Boss” was the renowned author Mr. Divya Bhanu Sinh Chavda, who had written a number of books on Indian wildlife and was known as a wildlife expert. As a result of the several encounters he had with Mr. Chavda, Sharad embarked on a journey into the forest and visited a number of national parks over the course of the following few years.

In the year 1990, when he was 22 years old and had just seen his first tiger, he had no idea that this single experience would propel him into a world where forests were the only thing that mattered. Between the years 1990 and 1999, Sharad traversed the length and breadth of India, making stops in the national parks of Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Corbett, Dudhwa, Kanha, Bharatpur, and Sariska.

He left the hotel industry with a renewed sense of mission and went on to establish his own business, which he named “Nature Safari India Pvt Ltd.” His company operates under the motto “Conservation via Tourism.” As he travelled further and further, he developed his skills as a wildlife photographer and made significant improvements. In 2014, he captured on tape a remarkable event in natural history, which occurred when a tiger was about to attack the calf of an elephant. This photograph was favourably appreciated in a variety of countries.

Since the hotel industry was in his family, he decided to open his own boutique wildlife resort in Kanha National Park from the ground up. After operating the resort for ten years, he decided to sell it so that he could concentrate on his animal travels.

It was in early 2020 that the pandemic struck, and as he had learnt that never waste a crisis. So he started to pen down his observation of the tiger for three decades which had never been thought of before. Sharad published “The Tiger CEO” to combine his enthusiasm for animals and imparting practical management skills. “The tiger is an enigma that intrigues us all,” he explains. There are numerous coffee-table books on tigers written by a variety of experts, but I was compelled to write down my own observations and interpretations of essential tiger characteristics that make the feline not only an ultimate predator but also an exemplary leader.

At this juncture in history, when we feel the need for strong leadership to help us through the issues we face, I find that I continually look to the tiger for inspiration, and I find that I do so very frequently. I have found some of the feline’s qualities in leaders across history, throughout the globe, and in a variety of fields, and I have shared them with you in the book. These characteristics can be found in a wide range of domains. I have high hopes that reading this book would motivate you to put the lessons that the king of the jungle has to offer into practise. You can purchase The Tiger CEO from a wide variety of online retailers across the world, including Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, iBooks, the Google Play Store, and NotionPress.

Our Motto - Nature Safari India

A progression from our organization’s original motto, “Conservation through Tourism,” to its current motto, “We Serve, We Conserve,” which serves as its cornerstone. We were the first to propose this idea, and we were also the ones to put it into practise at the grassroots level. This phrase was proven to be true when an increase in the number of visitors to national parks led to the creation of more jobs and a stronger economy in the surrounding area. The next step was to expand our vision to include the phrase “We Serve, We Conserve.”

What began as the world’s first online wildlife tour company has expanded as a result of recommendations made by previous customers; this was made possible, without a doubt, by the exceptional work that our staff performs for our clients.

This creed serves as the foundation for all of our ideals and activities. People take precedence over profits at all times. More than anything else, what brings us the most joy is seeing a happy visitor or a bright-eyed student at one of the nearby schools.

Our Team

The members of Nature Safari India serve as the driving force behind our organisation. Not only our team, but also our guests and the people who have a stake in the outcome of our adventure are essential. Our motto is that everyone should get more than what they anticipate getting.

The age-old proverb that “if one wants to go swiftly, then one should go alone, but if one wants to go far, then one should go together” is something that we believe in wholeheartedly. The goal of Tiger Safari India is to provide you with an experience that you will never forget, as well as a fantastical perspective of India and its native animals. Just like no two tigers have identical stripes, none of our safaris are the same either. Each each safari adventure is custom-crafted to meet the specific requirements of our customers.

As a result, we make it our responsibility to ensure that your vacation is as one-of-a-kind as you wish for it to be. Our in-house team of jungle guys, many of whom have spent years residing in and around national parks, are looking forward to assisting you in the near future and taking part in your subsequent Jungle Book excursion.
